AIM GeoAnalytics provides geological and analytical support for conventional and emerging energy resources. Our experience in sedimentology, stratigraphy, petrography, mineralogy, basin analysis, and integrated subsurface interpretation supports oil and gas, helium, and hydrogen projects.
We evaluate the rocks, structures, and datasets that control source, migration, reservoir, seal, trap, and generation processes. Programs may use existing core and cuttings, new field or drilling data, laboratory analyses, geophysics, remote sensing, and regional geological information.
Oil and Gas
- Core and cuttings description
- Sedimentology, stratigraphy, and depositional interpretation
- Petrography, mineralogy, diagenesis, and pore system evaluation
- Basin and reservoir characterization
- Integration of core, logs, seismic, maps, and regional data
Helium
- Regional geologic screening and play concept development
- Source, migration, reservoir, seal, and trap evaluation
- Core, cuttings, mineralogy, petrography, and structural interpretation
- Integration of historical well, gas, geophysical, and geological datasets
Natural and Engineered Hydrogen
- Evaluation of hydrogen generating rock systems and reaction pathways
- Mineralogical and petrographic characterization of prospective host rocks
- Structural, hydrologic, and geophysical data integration
- Assessment of source, migration, accumulation, preservation, and recovery uncertainties
- Coordination of specialized gas generation, kinetics, or geochemical testing when required
